At amitahc sustainability is not just a value or a responsibility: it is an asset that makes us stand out. Our company motto, SEE the future. Safety, Ethics and Eco-Sustainability, is our guiding light and our daily benchmark in everything we do, including our environmental approach.

 

Our commitment towards environment can be summarized as follows:

  • Protecting and respecting the environment by preserving the ecosystems and the biodiversity and the natural resources.
  • Preventing pollution and minimizing waste production.
  • Identifying and evaluating environmental aspects associated with our activities, products and services in order to minimize any eventual negative environmental impact.
  • Monitoring greenhouse gas emissions and reducing them gradually.
  • Reducing energy costs and using renewable energy sources
  • Select suppliers that respect the principles of green chemistry

Since 2020 amitahc has implemented an Environmental Management System in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 to confirm its commitment towards th Environment Moreover, amitahc has joined Responsible care the voluntary program to promote the sustainable development of the global chemical industry, according to values and behaviors oriented towards safety, health and the environment, in the more general context of corporate social responsibility.

Our commitment within the Responsible Care programme
Responsible Care is the voluntary program to promote the sustainable development of the global chemical industry, according to values and behaviors oriented towards safety, health and the environment, in the more general context of corporate social responsibility. Launched in Canada in 1984, the Responsible Care initiative has been widely adopted in the United Stated and Europe since then, and it’s now a well-recognized benchmark in over 60 countries around the world. In Italy, the Responsible Care programme, launched in 1992 and managed by Federchimica, is currently being pursued with commitment and determination several large, medium and small companies. As a signatory to the Responsible Care Global Charter amitahc will actively:
  • Enable a corporate leadership culture that proactively supports safe chemicals management;
  • Safeguard People and the Environment by continuously improving our environmental, health and safety performance; the security of our facilities, processes and technologies; and by driving continuous improvement in chemical product safety and stewardship throughout the supply chain;
  • Support the strengthening of chemical management systems around the globe;
  • Work with business partners to promote safe chemicals management within their own operations;
  • Engage with stakeholders, respond to their concerns and communicate openly on our performance and products;
  • Contributing to Sustainability through improved performance, expanded economic opportunities and the development of innovative technologies and other solutions to societal challenges.

Ethiplayer is a business initiative, driven by our partner Cobiosa, with the main purpose of establishing an ethical behaviour at the value chain of cosmetic products and to be reference at the market.


Specifically, it covers from the collection of ingredients, coming mainly but not exclusively from the Peruvian biodiversity, to the finished goods commercialization, under economic, social and environmental sustainability.

In carrying out all the activities, amitahc respects the relevant and applicable laws and regulations in force in the legal systems of all the Countries where present, also including what is provided for by the United Nations Global Compact, and acts in compliance with the principles of integrity, honesty,responsibility, freedom, dignity of the individual and respect of diversity, and repudiates any form of discrimination and violation of human rights.
To confirm the above mentioned commitment, amitahc has adopted an Organisational, Management and Control Model including a Code of Ethics  that summarized all the principles and responsibilities that lead amitahc internal and external activities and that are shared and required by all the stakeholders, believing that Ethics in business management is to be pursued as a requirement for the Group success.

  • Carrying out a fair competition in compliance with all the relevant anti-trust laws
